General

There will be total 6 assignments during the semester. Since there is not an examiniation in this subject, total marks of the course will be based on the assignments only.

Prepare a five minute talk of your current research topic using PPT; including introduction of yourself, who is collaborating your research, why your research is important.

Prepare a 7 minute talk. This talk is similar to the first assignment but follow the format which you have learnt in the last class.

Prepare 10 minute talk using PPT including 1) Front page, 2) Content page, 3) Background (General problem description), 4) Problem description (what is your research problem?, who has worked on the problem?, what are the differences among the related works?)

Prepare slides that explain your proposed solutin and some results including conclusion. So... it is time to prepare a complete presentation which includes.. title slide, contnet slide, background slide, problem definition slide, solution slide, results slide and conclusion (15 minutes).

Select one presentation from TED (www.ted.com) or others (youtube) and introduce it the class (10+5). Please, include the points: 1) why you select the presentation, 2) what it is about, 3) what you have learn from the presentation.

You are given 15 minute for your talk and there will be some questions. Use all techniques you have learnt during the semester. In addition, 10 minutes free talk.

Specifications

Keep accumulating your assignments and it will become the English presentation of your current research topic. The five minor and one major assignments will cover 60% and 40% of total marks, respectively. Each assignment will be explained in detail during the class.

text Individual students are expected to present their assignment in every class (Do not go overtime).
text Your presentation will be evaluated by me as well as your colleagues(??).
text You DO NOT need to prepare handouts for me as well as your colleagues.
text You will give a talk WITH PC.
